The final letter was typed, the “To” spot in the email was filled and the “send” button was pushed! “HOLY COW” (only in India)! IM DONE!!! Finishing my final report on Thursday morning should have brought cheers of happiness and loud screams…alas, I had (and have) no voice! My last week of school brought on the flu that had me groaning and comatose in bed all day Sunday and most of Monday. I even took my first sick day off at work and am now the “Swine Flu” girl who everyone comes near with trepidation and snorting. Wednesday I felt better but had a man voice and Thursday, well, I had none. =0) So, the button was hit, I threw my hands in the air and quietly went for an asthmatic run!
This is the first time in 6 years that I have not either been behind a desk or in a desk. It is the first time in 6 years that I have no work to do after class! So, what did I do? Cleaned the car, cleaned my desk, swiffered the floor, and signed up for facebook. Yep, now my inbox is full of people that I haven’t seen or talked to in YEARS! In a matter of seconds I got 100 friends…Mom and Dad, you would be so proud! I’ve never made friends this fast in my life! Kids from Thailand, Kids from my old youth group, friends from all the churches I have attended, friends from Bible School! My heart skips a beat every time I see a new old friend!
So the plan? Right now Im basking in how much the Lord has blessed Barrett and I in the past 2 years with school, work, marriage, Betsy, homework, sporadic dates, amazing friends, a fantastic small group, and a supporting church. We’ve had tears, fights (hee hee), frustration, floods, tornados, hurricane, hail and ice storms, power outages, break downs (this is more on my side), vacations, communication wars that led to small breakthroughs, and many laughs, many. Our faith has grown in the Lord and our understanding of His grace and mercy in our everyday lives has been incredible!
So, Praise the Lord Im done! And my hope is that I will be able to renew this weekly email. Thanks to all of you who have missed it! It has been a motivation for me to begin again! YEE HA!!!!! Bring on the next Act!!!
